Juan Martin del Potro has insisted that he will play through the pain barrier for Argentina in this weekend's Davis Cup semi-final against the Czech Republic.
The 23-year-old is currently struggling with a left wrist problem that flared up during the recent US Open.
"What I need to recover is rest as my doctor has already told me but I'll try to leave that for later on," he said.
"It's something beautiful to be able to play here in Argentina and I'm going to make the effort for the crowd and try to give my best."
The other semi-final will be contested between holders Spain and the USA, with the winners of both ties meeting in November's final.
