Dan Evans's Australian Open hopes end

Dan Evans goes down to Marton Fucsovics in straight sets in the second qualifying round of the Australian Open.

Dan Evans has failed to qualify for the 2014 Australian Open.

The British number two was beaten in straight sets by Marton Fucsovics in the second qualifying round in Melbourne on Thursday.

Evans lost the first set 6-4 despite tying it at 4-4 at one stage after committing two double faults.

The 23-year-old Brit was then brushed aside 6-1 in the second, with his Hungarian opponent breaking in the second and the fourth games in to book his place in the third and final qualifying round.
