Japan's Kei Nishikori expresses his happiness at the way that he has begun his Australian Open campaign.

World number 18 has admitted that he felt "comfortable" during his four-set victory over Victor Hanescu at the Australian Open earlier today.

Despite losing the opening set, Japan's number one Nishikori recovered to move into next round in two hours and 39 minutes.

"I want to do well, of course," said the 23-year-old. "It's going to be tough the next round too, so [I'm trying] to play just one match at a time. And if I can do well, that's good. I feel really comfortable playing here."

Next up for Nishikori is a match against Argentine Carlos Berlocq in round two.
