Team Wales's Jemma Lowe relaxed before 100m butterfly heat

Team Wales swimmer Jemma Lowe says that nerves did not get the better of her before qualifying for the 100m butterfly semi-finals at Glasgow.

Team Wales swimmer Jemma Lowe has claimed that she did not fall victim to nerves before today's 100m butterfly heat at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

The 24-year-old, who won a bronze medal in this event at the Delhi 2010 Games, qualified for tonight's semi-finals at Tollcross after finishing second in her heat with a time of 58.61s.

"I wasn't too nervous, no," Lowe told Sports Mole. "I felt like I was a little bit late, I was rushing, but as soon as I got in there, my heat was going out so I didn't have time to think. It was nice this morning to walk out to a big crowd!"

Wales have been handed a six-medal target in swimming.
