Rachael Kelly wins swim-off to reach 100m butterfly semi-final

Great Britain's Rachael Kelly wins a swim-off to claim the last spot in the 100m butterfly semi-final at the World Swimming Championships.

Great Britain's Rachael Kelly has secured the last spot in the semi-finals for the women's 100m butterfly at the World Swimming Championships in Kazan after winning a swim-off.

The 21-year-old finished joint-16th in the heats earlier this morning, posting the same time as Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman.

The pair returned to the pool at the Kazan Arena for the swim-off, but the Briton had too much on the second length for her rival, ensuring that she will return for the semis later today.

Kelly won a silver medal as part of the women's 4x100m medley team at last year's Commonwealth Games.
