Britain win gold, silver on day one of World Junior Championships in Singapore

Great Britain have taken gold and silver on day one of the World Junior Swimming Championships in Singapore.

Rosie Rudin set a new world junior and championship record on her way to winning the 400m individual medley final in 4:39.01.

The swimmer's fellow Brit Georgia Coates touched the wall less than a second behind her to claim the silver medal.

In the men's 400m freestyle final, Cameron Kurle missed out on a podium place after finishing fifth.
