Great Britain strike out in men's 400m individual medley

Team GB's men struggle in the pool as all four athletes fail to qualify in the men's 400m individual medley.

Team GB's male swimmers have failed to progress in the men's 400m individual medley at the Baku Aquatics Centre.

Seventeen-year-olds Luke Greenbank and Martyn Walton, and Joe Litchfield and Jarvis Parkinson, both 16, were all eliminated in the heats.

Litchfield came the closest to advancing for Great Britain as his time of 4:26.08 saw him finish ninth, just one place outside of a qualification spot.

The fastest time of the heats was 4:24.22, a new Games record, swam by Russian athlete Nikolay Sokolov.
