England, Scotland, Wales into 4x100m relay freestyle final

England, Scotland and Wales all qualify for the final of the 4x100m freestyle relay.

Three of the four Commonwealth Games 2014 home nations have reached the final of the men's 4x100m relay freestyle after the heats on Friday afternoon.

In the second heat, England overtook South Africa to finish second behind runaway leaders Australia, whose time of 3:16.91 was almost two seconds ahead of any other team.

Team England's time of 3:18.83 was the next best to qualify for the final eight, with Scotland's winning effort of 3:19.60 the third fastest ahead of the South Africans.

Wales just scraped into the final with their 3:22.95, which edged out Northern Ireland into ninth with no place for them.
