James Willstrop urges squash partner to be "ready"

James Willstrop calls on his squash doubles partner Daryl Selby to be "ready" for England's elimination stages.

England's James Willstrop has reminded squash doubles partner Daryl Selby that there is no margin for error as the duo prepare for the knockout rounds.

The pair sealed their progression into the elimination stages by beating Grenada 11-2 11-2 to top Group C.

Willstrop and Selby - ranked sixth and 10th in the world respectively - head into the knockouts as one of the favourites to go all the way, but the 30-year-old urges his partner to be "ready" for whatever comes their way.

"Everything now is on a leveller in the doubles. We know we are both top 15 players in the world but that goes out the window from now," he told reporters.

"We have to be so focused and ready and respect every pair, the lines are too fine and the players are too good and we have to be ready."

The pair face Wales in the last-16 stage later today.
