Team England's Mick Gault has spoken of how he made a promise to his wife that he would no longer be taking part in the Commonwealth Games after the current competition in Glasgow.
The 60-year-old took bronze in the men's 10m air pistol event earlier today to take his tally to 18 medals, matching the record set by Australian shooter Phillip Adams.
"It's job done, finished. I don't care anymore, I've got the record and the free pistol coming up in a few days is a bonus. I don't mind sharing the record with some old Australian.
"I feel good that a 60-year-old can achieve this and it's for my wife and kids, because the stress we go through is tremendous.
"I made a deal with my wife a long time ago that this was my last games, because this was unfinished business. I can put my feet up now and get the slippers out."
Gault is still in the running to break the medal record in Monday's 50m air pistol event.
