Former Italy and Stade Francais fly-half Diego Dominguez will take over from Bernard Laporte as Toulon head coach for the 2016-17 season, despite having no coaching experience, club president Mourad Boudjellal has confirmed.
The 48-year-old, who won 74 caps for Italy in a 12-year career, retired from rugby in 2004 after seven seasons with Stade Francais.
"I can say that Diego Dominguez will be Bernard Laporte's successor," Boudjellal told French TV channel Canal Plus.
Boudjellal also confirmed that New Zealand star Ma'a Nonu will join the European champions on a two-year deal after next year's World Cup.
"He's a great centre and he's got great looks. At Toulon, we love this," Boudjellal added.
Meanwhile, Fiji winger Napolioni Nalaga has also agreed to join the Top 14 team from current side Clermont.
