The visitors were ahead inside the opening minutes when Tim Streather dived for the line early on, but Blair Cowan soon cancelled out his early score.

The Exiles started to dominate midway through the first half, with Alex Lewington adding two tries in the space of four minutes, but Owen Farrell kicked a string of penalties to keep Saracens ahead at the break.

Lewington completed his hat-trick just four minutes after the restart to put Irish ahead, while Shane Geraghty extended their lead with two penalties.

Alex Goode took over the kicking duties for Saracens to keep the scores close, but it was a last-minute try from Vunipola that clinched the win for the visitors, who maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
