South Africa lift Dubai Sevens title

South Africa beat Australia 33-7 in the final to be crowned champions of the Dubai Sevens.

South Africa were crowned champions at the Dubai Sevens tournament thanks to a 33-7 triumph over Australia in the final.

Seabelo Senatla led the way with two tries, but Kwagga Smith, Philip Snyman and Ruhan Nel also went over as South Africa dominated against their rivals, whose only score came from Pama Fou.

Despite the victory, Fiji, who were beaten in the semi-finals by Australia, remain top of the World Series standings after finishing third with a 26-12 success against New Zealand.

There was consolation for Argentina in the Plate final as they beat Scotland 26-12, while Samoa recorded a 31-21 victory over France in the Bowl final.
