Christian Lealiifano scored all of the Brumbies' points in the form of a try, a conversion and five penalties.

Lealiifano's individual brilliance saw the Canberra side build leads of 16-9 and 22-12 in front of a sold-out Waikato Stadium.

However, it was the Hamilton outfit that eventually prevailed thanks to second-half tries from Liam Messam and Robbie Robinson.

The boot of Aaron Cruden contributed 17 points. The All Blacks fly-half successfully kicked one conversion and five out of seven penalty-goal attempts.
