Dai Young proud of Wasps despite defeat to Northampton Saints

Wasps didn't deserve to lose 52-30 to Northampton Saints, according to director of rugby Dai Young.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young has said that he is proud of his players, despite their 52-30 defeat to Northampton Saints.

Wasps were leading shortly before half time when number eight Nathan Hughes was sent off for kicking George North, and they couldn't prevent the league leaders from taking advantage.

Young told BT Sport: "They're a quality team, you can't switch off at any occasion. I'm really proud of our players, I thought they gave everything. And I thought the scoreline was a bit harsh and a bit unkind on us too - but that's rugby."

Wasps sit sixth in the Aviva Premiership table.
