Northampton director of rugby Jim Mallinder insists that the team still has plenty to improve on, despite maintaining their perfect start to the season against Wasps.

Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder has insisted that there is more to come from his side, despite maintaining their 100% start to the season against London Wasps.

Stephen Myler kicked over 14 points at Franklin's Gardens as the Saints recorded a 24-6 victory over their opponents.

"It's pleasing to win five out of five, but I don't think we've really reached top gear," Mallinder told the club's official website. "There's still more to come from us."

The win has seen league leaders Saints open up a three-point gap over Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership table.
