Wasps have signed Yorkshire Carnegie's fly-half Glyn Hughes in exchange for winger Jonah Holmes.

The Aviva Premiership side were left short of cover at number 10 after Scottish international Ruaridh Jackson suffered an injury earlier this month.

"Following Ruaridh's injury we were light at fly-half and Glyn will provide us some much-needed options at ten," director of rugby Dai Young said on the club's official website.

"He comes highly recommended by Chris Gibson at Yorkshire Carnegie and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do in black and gold."

Wasps face the Newcastle Falcons at Adams Park tomorrow.
