Dai Young proud despite London Wasps defeat

London Wasps director of rugby Dai Young insists that he is proud of his team, despite their narrow loss to Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership.

London Wasps director of rugby Dai Young has insisted that he is proud of his team, despite their "agonising" defeat to Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership.

Wasps had the chance to earn the win with the last kick of the match at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, but Andy Goode's conversion hit the post as Quins came away with a 16-15 victory.

"It was an agonising end to the game," Young told the league's official website. "We showed resolve to come back and nick the try at the end but luck wasn't on our side unfortunately.

"I was proud of our performance still. Quins are a top-four and top-quality team. We pushed them all the way and we really could have snuck it in the end."

Wasps continue their campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to Exeter Chiefs.
