Struggling London Wasps confirm that a consortium headed by former player Ken Moss has agreed a deal to takeover the club.

London Wasps have confirmed that a consortium headed by former player Ken Moss has agreed a deal to purchase the club.

Owner Steve Hayes put the club up for sale in October following the decision by Wycombe District Council to withdraw their support for a new stadium.

A sale has finally been agreed and a statement on the club's website read: "London Wasps are delighted to confirm that contracts have been exchanged on the sale of the club to a new consortium headed up by former player Ken Moss."

The club, who have previously won the Heineken Cup, narrowly avoided finishing bottom of the Aviva Premiership last season.
