Charlie Davies sprinted over just three minute into the match to put the home side ahead early on.

Ed Jackson and Josh Bassett both added to the score before half time, giving Wasps a nine-point lead at the break.

Chris Hala'ufia and Jamie Hagan got the visitors back into contention, but the Exiles ran out of steam as they pushed for a potentially game-levelling try late on.

The win is Wasps' first in the competition, while Irish remain without a victory.
