Brian O'Driscoll's stamp on Italy's Simone Favaro lands the Ireland international a three-week ban.

Ireland centre Brian O'Driscoll has been handed a three-week suspension for his conduct during the weekend's Six Nations clash against Italy.

The 34-year-old appeared to deliberately stamp on flanker Simone Favaro during the first half of the match - an act for which he was yellow-carded.

However, having had the incident reviewed, O'Driscoll has now been hit with a ban.

As a result, he will miss Leinster's European Challenge Cup quarter-final against Wasps, as well as two Pro12 league matches.
