Chris Henry: "We were beaten by a much better side"

Ireland second-row Chris Henry admits that he found his side's defeat at the hands of Argentina "tough" to take, but says that there can be no complaints.

Chris Henry has conceded that the better side won after Ireland fell to a heavy quarter-final defeat against Argentina.

Los Pumas took the lead just four minutes in and did not look back as they saw off the reigning Six Nations champions 43-20 in Cardiff.

Ireland dug deep to reduce a 17-point deficit to just three points at one stage, but it was not to be in the end as Argentina moved up another gear late on.

"We worked hard to come back and in the second half I thought the momentum was turning for us," Henry told Sports Mole. "Unfortunately we were beaten by a much better side today.

"When you invest so much time and effort and see what everyone else has given as well all the players, it's a tough day - that's sport."

Argentina will now face Australia in next weekend's second semi-final.
