Sam Smith to join Worcester Warriors

Harlequins confirm that winger Sam Smith will join Worcester Warriors at the end of the season.

Harlequins have confirmed that winger Sam Smith will join Worcester Warriors next season.

The 23-year-old made his professional debut for Quins in 2009 after graduating from the club's youth academy.

"It is always hard to see one of your own moving on, but that is the world we live in," director of rugby Conor O'Shea told the team's official website.

"Sam has been given a great opportunity at Worcester, and I know everyone at the club will wish him well at the end of the season.

"In the meantime I know, and we have already seen, that Sam will be doing everything he can to go out on a high with the club he has grown up at."

Smith has made a total of 69 appearances for Quins during his time at the club.
