Strong finish helps Exeter Chiefs to win

Exeter Chiefs take a 36-22 win over Ospreys in the LV= Cup thanks to a couple of late tries.

Exeter Chiefs needed a couple of late tries to secure a 36-22 win over Ospreys in the LV= Cup this afternoon.

The visitors managed to edge ahead in the first half with Dafydd Howells and Morgan Allen both finding the try line in the opening 20 minutes.

Exeter looked to have turned things around after the break as James Scaysbrook put the home side ahead three minutes before Luke Cowan-Dickie added his second of the match.

Against the run of play, Matthew Jenkins forced his way over for a third try for the Welsh side, before Tom Grabham drew them level.

However, Ospreys were level for just four minutes before James Phillips squeezed into the corner, while Don Armand sealed the win for the Chiefs late on.
