Dan Norton eyes redemption in rugby sevens

Dan Norton says that England are still haunted by their failure to secure a medal in the rugby sevens event in Delhi four years ago and vows to make amends.

Rugby sevens ace Dan Norton is hoping that England's failure to secure a medal in Delhi four years ago can aid their quest to a podium finish in this year's Commonwealth Games.

Team England missed out on the bronze by losing to South Africa in 2010, but Norton and co have a shot at redemption this weekend as the sevens event begins in Glasgow today.

"That is very much a motivation for us this time," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "We want to get out there and show the world how good we are."

England kick off their pool campaign by facing Sri Lanka at Ibrox today.
