JPR Williams: 'Jamie Roberts should join Harlequins'

British and Irish Lions legend JPR Williams describes Cardiff Blues as being 'an embarrassment', and warns Jamie Roberts to instead join Harlequins.

British and Irish Lions legend JPR Williams has warned Jamie Roberts that he would be a "fool" to rejoin former club Cardiff Blues.

The 28-year-old, who spent six years at Cardiff Arms Park, is expected to leave French outfit Racing Metro at the end of the season to make a return to British shores.

Roberts has also been tipped with a move to Harlequins, which Williams believes will offer the 69-time capped Wales international with a far more competitive option.

"He'd be a fool to come back and play for the Cardiff Blues," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "The Blues are embarrassing at the moment. He'd be sensible to go and play for Harlequins."
