Warren Gatland says that he is unsure how badly injured Jamie Roberts is following the Lions' victory over the Waratahs.

British and Irish Lions head coach Warren Gatland has suggested that Jamie Roberts has suffered a torn hamstring during his side's win over the Waratahs.

Gatland has admitted that he is in the dark in terms of the extent of the injury following the Lions' 47-17 win in Sydney.

"It looks like he has torn a bit of a hamstring but I am not 100% sure," Gatland told Sky Sports News. "I'll check with the medics about that.

"Hopefully it is not that bad. We have had a couple already so we will have to wait and see when I get in the changing rooms and talk to the medics."

The Lions take on Australia in their first Test on June 22.
