James O'Connor dropped by Australia indefinitely

Australia drop winger James O'Connor indefinitely following his reported drunken state at Perth airport last weekend.

Australia coach Ewen McKenzie has revealed that winger James O'Connor has been dropped from the side indefinitely following an incident at Perth airport.

The 23-year-old was escorted from the airport by police last Saturday after airline staff deemed the player too intoxicated to board a flight to Bali.

"We're not getting the right type of behaviour from him," BBC Sport quotes McKenzie as saying. "From a behavioural perspective it's not acceptable.

"He's let himself down at the weekend so we've stood him down and we'll move forward without him. It's pretty clear he won't be taking part in the tour."

O'Connor will miss Rugby Championship clashes in South Africa and Argentina.
