Wigan Warriors sign Willie Isa

Samoan winger Willie Isa agrees to join Wigan Warriors on a two-year contract from the Widnes Vikings.

Wigan Warriors have announced the signing of Willie Isa.

The 26-year-old winger has spent the last four years with the Widnes Vikings, but having seen his contract at the Select Security Stadium expire, Isa has now agreed a switch to the Warriors.

"I've been monitoring Willie for some time and didn't think twice about completing this deal when we had the chance," head coach Shaun Wane told the club's official website.

"He is highly thought of here at Wigan. Our senior players who we consulted all commented that he is a fierce competitor who is tough to play against."

Isa, who has signed a two-year contract, is expected to recover from a knee injury in time for the start of pre-season training in November.
