Jonny Molloy extends contract at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats

Jonny Molloy agrees a new two-year deal with Super League outfit the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Back-rower Jonny Molloy has signed a new contract with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

The 24-year-old, who joined the club from the Huddersfield Giants two years ago, has committed himself to Belle Vue until the end of the 2017 campaign.

"Jonny Molloy's re-signing for the Wildcats was based on his series of outstanding Super League matches soon after my time began as a coach," head coach Brian Smith told the club's official website.

"Free of injuries in 2016 after a big off-season of work, we expect Jonny to become an important contributor to our success."

Molloy added: "I am really happy to be extending my time with Wakefield for another two years. I have really enjoyed playing under Brian Smith."

Molloy spent time on loan with the Sheffield Eagles last term, but upon his return he scored three tries in 13 Super League appearances.
