Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Salford City Reds share the spoils after their Super League match finishes 23-23 this afternoon.

A late drop goal ensured that Wakefield Trinity Wildcats finished level at 23-23 with Salford City Reds in the Super League this afternoon.

A free-flowing first half saw the visitors take a four-point lead at the break, with Jodie Broughton, Lee Jewitt and Theo Fages all scoring tries for Salford.

The Reds extended their lead after the break, with Jack Murphy taking the ball over following a Lee Smith knock-on.

However, the home side fought back, with Danny Washbrook running the ball in from 10 metres out, before a Ben Cockayne effort levelled the scores.

Salford tried to sneak the win with a Marc Sneyd drop goal with five minutes left to play, but Paul Sykes tied it up again with a drop goal for the Wildcats.

Sykes tried to add another inside the final minute but he dragged his effort wide, ensuring that the two sides shared the points.
