James Webster unsure of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats future

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats coach James Webster suggests that he could be sacked by the club in the coming days.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats coach James Webster has suggested that he could be sacked by the end of the week.

The Wildcats suffered a shock defeat in the Challenge Cup on the weekend as they were beaten by Championship outfit Leigh Centurions.

Wakefield are also at the bottom of the Super League table following 11 defeats from their opening 13 games of the season.

"You go into coaching knowing you will get sacked at some point," Webster told BBC Sport. "I'll go home and think about it. I think there will be a lot of changes next week, whether you are talking about players or elsewhere. Things will be different next week."

Wakefield return to action this Sunday when they host Widnes Vikings in Super League.
