Salford City Reds reveal interest in Australia coach Tim Sheens

Salford City Reds chief executive Ed Farish says that Australia coach Tim Sheens is on their wishlist following Phil Veivers's dismissal.

Salford City Reds chief executive Ed Farish has revealed that the club are interested in appointing Australia coach Tim Sheens.

The Super League outfit are in the hunt for a new coach following the dismissal of Phil Veivers on Sunday.

"We haven't discussed anything with Tim at this stage, but Tim's a great coach so I'm sure he'll be on the list," Farish told BBC Radio Manchester.

Sheens left NRL club West Tigers at the end of last season.
