Super League roundup: Wigan Warriors, Hull FC, St Helens win

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday's games in the Super League.

Two tries from Tom Makinson have ensured that St Helens remain at the top of the Super League table, following a win over Leeds Rhinos this evening.

There was nothing to separate the two teams at the end of the first half, as Jamie McGuire put the Rhinos ahead before Anthony Walker scored his first try of the campaign to level six minutes later.

Kevin Sinfield edged the visitors ahead with a penalty after the break, but Makinson was able to stretch for the corner for St Helens' second try of the match, giving the home side the lead for the first time, before collecting a chip forward for his second inside the final three minutes.

Wigan Warriors fought back from eight points down against Catalans Dragons to seal a last-gasp win.

The French side made a bright start to the match, with Morgan Escare and Ben Pomeroy both scoring tries in the opening 15 minutes, but a Matthew Bowen effort kept the defending champions in contention at the break.

Catalan initially extended their lead at the start of the second half, but Josh Charnley and Liam Farrell both went over to level the scores with 12 minutes left to play, before Bowen added his second in the final seconds.

Hull FC wrapped up a comfortable win over the Salford Red Devils at the KC Stadium.

There was little between the sides in the opening half-hour, as Greg Johnson cancelled out an early try from Jacob Miller.

Richard Horne and Ben Crooks both found the try line for the home side less than 10 minutes into the second half, while the latter added the conversions.

Salford applied pressure late on as they looked to overturn Hull's lead, but the home side's defence held firm to secure the win.
