Result: Wales lose to France opening Autumn international

Three tries in nine minutes cost Wales victory against France.

Wales slipped to defeat in their opening game in the triangular Autumn international series against France.

Wales scored an early try through David James to lead 6-0 as France missed a number of early chances.

However, the home side ran in three tries in nine minutes to lead 18-6 at half-time.

Gil Dudson received a yellow card after 50 minutes, reducing Wales to 12 men and handing France a penalty.

The series continues next Saturday when Wales host England.
