Result: Comfortable win for Huddersfield Giants

Huddersfield Giants move to the top of the Super League table after beating Castleford Tigers 40-24.

Huddersfield Giants have beaten Castleford Tigers 40-24 in the Super League this afternoon.

The visitors scored five tries in the first half, with Jermaine McGillvary, Aaron Murphy and Shaun Lunt among those on the scoresheet.

McGillvary and Brett Ferres added to the score early in the second half, giving Huddersfield a lead of more than 30 points.

Adam Milner, Daryl Clark and Jonathan Walker all scored inside the last 10 minutes to give Castleford late hope, but they could not overturn Huddersfield's lead.

The result moves Huddersfield to the top of the Super League table.
