Pat Cosgrave given six-month ban

The Emirates Racing Authority suspend jockey Pat Cosgrave for six months for allegedly shifting one of his mounts.

Jockey Pat Cosgrave has been handed a six-month suspension by the Emirates Racing Authority.

The 31-year-old has been given the punishment for his actions on his mount Anaerobio in Dubai back on March 8.

It has been adjudged that the Northern Irishman shifted Anaerobio, which allowed Vercingetorix a clear run to victory.

Cosgrave is a former winner of the Nunthorpe Stakes at York and the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
