Police have reportedly increased security measures for Wimbledon this week amid fears that the Championships could be targeted by terrorists.
Scotland Yard are expected to send extra officers, some plain clothed, to patrol during the two-week tennis Grand Slam as the UK prepares to mark the 10th anniversary of the London bombings on July 7.
According to Sky News, the authorities have confirmed that a terrorist attack is "highly likely" as the country's threat level is currently at "severe".
It has also been revealed that should "emerging incidents" occur, a reserve unit is in place to respond and tackle any issues during the tournament.
The extra security measures have been put in place following last week's attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait.
