West Bromwich Albion vow to ban ticket frauds

West Bromwich Albion warn that over-age fans using Under-18 season tickets could face a lengthy ban from The Hawthorns.

West Bromwich Albion's stadium manager Mark Miles has warned that adult supporters will face punishment if they use Under-18 season tickets to attend matches.

During a recent Albion Assembly meeting, it was revealed that a fan has been suspended from attending games at The Hawthorns for six years after wrongly using U18 tickets through the automated electronic turnstiles.

"One 24-year-old was coming in on an Under-18 ticket," the Birmingham Mail quotes Miles as saying. "We clocked him and he has been banned for six years to reflect the six years he was coming in for a cheaper rate.

"There has been an element of some supporters pushing their luck and we will be cracking down on this."

It was also revealed in the meeting that the Premier League club could surpass the 18,000 season tickets that were sold last season.
