Clint Dempsey to release hip-hop album

USA forward Clint Dempsey will release a rap album after the World Cup under the stage name Deuce.

USA forward Clint Dempsey is releasing a hip-hop album under the stage name Deuce.

The former Fulham star, who currently plays for Seattle Sounders back in his homeland, has been working on the album ahead of the World Cup, and will release the 13-track LP which is titled The Redux.

Houston native Dempsey told The Wall Street Journal: "We just were having fun with it and it ended up being an album."

Dempsey's first single is called 'It's Poppin' and was leaked by DJ Skee, who has previously worked with hip-hop heavyweights such as The Game and Snoop Dogg.

Dempsey scored the quickest goal of the World Cup so far when he netted after 30 seconds in the 2-1 win against Ghana on Monday evening.
