Swansea City add 30 'snoozeboxes' to training ground

Swansea City add 30 'snoozeboxes' to their Landore training ground to allow their players to sleep after a session.

Swansea City have added 30 'snoozeboxes' to the club's training ground to allow the players to have a quick nap.

The inflatable rooms, which contain double beds, have been placed next to the pitch at the Welsh outfit's Landore base.

The structures have been welcomed by midfielder Jack Cork, who has claimed that the snoozeboxes are ideal for players as they do not have to wait to get home to have a kip.

"I tell people I'm in a sleep pod and they're like, 'what's that?" Cork told The Guardian. "It's just literally a door and a room with a bed in it, but I'm straight in there and straight down, otherwise I'd have to go home.

"I live about half an hour away and when I come back it's school traffic, so for me it's easier to get your head down in the pod."

Swansea will begin the Premier League season away to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on August 8.
