Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam gives help to organisation Go Developments who help ex-convicts and drug addicts turn their lives around.

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has given his help to non-profit organisation Go Developments, who help former convicts and drug addicts get their lives back on track.

The project, which is operating in Blackpool, provides training programmes that teach people how to revamp properties.

"We give them the chance to become joiners, plumbers and electricians," The Sentinel quotes Adam as saying. "I really enjoy going to see them work. They have big smiles on their faces and there's a buzz about the place. It's brilliant to be a part of."

Adam played in Blackpool for two years before joining Liverpool for a season, and then Stoke in 2012.
