Gates at White Hart Lane entrance taken down in preparation for new stadium

The entrance gates to White Hart Lane are removed and put into storage as part of the construction work on the new stadium.

The black gates at the entrance of Tottenham Hotspur's home of White Hart Lane have been taken down as construction of the new stadium continues.

The gates were removed from their usual place this week and will be put into storage until the new ground is built in 2018.

To complete Spurs' new stadium, which will host NFL games in the future, the gates will be added to the design, according to the Daily Mail.

The construction will become the largest football stadium in London with 61,000 capacity, which is just over 500 more seats than Arsenal's Emirates Stadium holds.

Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea play their football at 60,000-capacity Stamford Bridge.
