Francis Benali to complete 'big run' for charity at St Mary's

Southampton legend Francis Benali is set to complete 'Benali's Big Run' for Cancer Research UK at St Mary's Stadium.

Southampton legend Francis Benali is set to complete 'Benali's Big Run' for Cancer Research UK during half time at St Mary's this afternoon.

The former Saints defender has run to each Premier League ground and is completing the run at St Mary's during Southampton's clash with Newcastle United.

Benali began the run at St James' Park 21 days ago as he took up the 1,000-mile challenge and planned to complete the project this afternoon.

Benali has been joined by former teammate and friend Matt Le Tissier and Saints chairman Ralph Krueger during the run.
