Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo 'forced by Nike to withdraw CR7 footwear range'

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly forced to withdraw his CR7 footwear range following pressure from sponsors Nike.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been forced to withdraw his CR7 footwear range by sportswear giants Nike.

The Portugal captain currently has a multi-million pound deal with Nike, but the American manufacturer is believed to have been concerned that the footballer's own footwear range would become competition.

According to Sport, Nike issued an ultimatum to Ronaldo by warning that his contract with them could be ripped up if he did not withdraw his CR7 collection.

The three-time Ballon d'Or winner has reportedly agreed to drop the footwear range that he launched at Milan Shoe Fair last week.

Nike are not said to be opposed to Ronaldo's underwear and shirt range.
