Real Madrid earn an extra £46m for winning the Champions League in Lisbon last month.

Real Madrid reportedly pocketed £46m from UEFA for winning the Champions League in Lisbon last month.

The Spanish giants clinched their historic 10th European trophy by securing a 4-1 victory over local rivals Atletico Madrid in the final.

According to the Daily Mail, the runners-up earned £40.1m, while quarter-finalists Paris Saint-Germain have had £16m of their £43.7m pot withheld by UEFA as punishment for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

Manchester United, who failed to progress past the last eight, earned almost £36m, while their local rivals pocketed £28.4m.

After losing to Atletico in the semi-finals, Chelsea picked up £34.85m, and Arsenal were rewarded with £21.87m following their campaign in Europe.
