QPR's Steven Caulker 'arrested after being accused of stealing tub of cheese'

Queens Park Rangers defender Steven Caulker is reportedly briefly arrested after being accused of stealing a tub of Philadelphia cheese from Tesco.

Queens Park Rangers defender Steven Caulker was reportedly briefly arrested by police after he was accused of stealing a tub of Philadelphia cheese from Tesco Express.

The 22-year-old is believed to have left the supermarket in Weybridge, Surrey, but returned with a £1.85 tub of cheese in his hands before getting approached by the authorities.

Witnesses claimed that Caulker looked "alarmed" when he was handcuffed by police outside the store regarding a confusion over payment, according to The Sun.

A Tesco spokesman has claimed that the matter was "resolved" and Caulker, who reportedly earns around £40,000 per week, was let go when the store workers decided against pressing charges.
