No criminal action taken against David Moyes

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes is to face no charges following an alleged altercation back in May.

Lancashire Constabulary have confirmed that they will take no further action against David Moyes following an incident outside of a Lancashire wine bar in May of this year.

Officers questioned the former Manchester United manager after a 23-year-old man had claimed that he had been struck over the head by the Scot.

However, having investigated the alleged altercation further, the case has been closed by the police.

"After careful consideration of all the circumstances in this case it has been decided that no further action will be taken against anyone," the authorities said in a statement.

Moyes is currently without a manager's job following his sacking by United in April.
