The BBC's Sports Personality of the Year show will take place at Glasgow's SSE Hydro this winter.

The show, which will be shown live on BBC One on Sunday, December 14, follows this summer's Commonwealth Games in Scotland's biggest city.

The winner will be decided by a public vote after a shortlist is drawn up by a panel of judges.

Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton is the current favourite to win the award, which was won by Wimbledon champion Andy Murray last year.
