Paul Gascoigne's representative reveals that the troubled star never agreed to appear on ITV's This Morning, despite claims that he failed to turn up.

A representative of former England international Paul Gascoigne has denied that the troubled star agreed to appear on ITV show This Morning.

The programme's host Phillip Schofield told viewers this week that Gascoigne was supposed to be on the show to discuss a documentary about his struggles with alcoholism, but failed to turn up.

However, a representative has told the Daily Mail that while talks to appear on the show had occurred, nothing had been agreed with Gascoigne, including transport.

Gascoigne is currently at his home in Bournemouth.
